A little history!
For over 20 years High Tide Church has gathered together, but can you believe we have never had a building of our own? Currently we meet at the Roxana Volunteer Fire Department in Frankford, DE. We moved back to the Roxana Fire Hall due to Covid-19. Up until Covid-19, we had been meeting at the John M. Clayton Elementary School (for six years), and before that, we were at the Roxana Fire Hall (the first time) and also Lord Baltimore Elementary School. God has always given us a place to meet and worship Him, but now, we feel God is calling us to build a building of our own.
Church is not the building, it's the people inside. So, as we begin the journey of building an actual structure, we know that the building is a tool to be used to glorify God. Yes, a building is a place we can all meet to worship. Yes, our food pantry can grow from here and serve the community. Yes, we can conduct bible studies and our teen and children's ministries can grow, but it's ultimately people that God uses to further his Kingdom. It's MORE than a building!
