Hello Pastor Terry and Team,

Our travels to Zambia began last Thursday evening as we traveled to Virginia to stay the night. We had an early flight Friday morning from Dulles Airport and arrived safely in Lusaka, Zambia, on Saturday. From there, we began the 2½-hour drive north to where our Village is located.

On Sunday, we attended church here in the Village with all of the children. Afterwards, we were able to spend a wonderful evening reconnecting with the children, playing games, and enjoying time together.

Monday was the first day back for the 600+ students who attend Hope School here at the Village. We attended the morning assembly, where the students gather each day for morning devotions to begin their school day. Our kids also joined the classrooms for the day, while Marian began doing classroom observations so she can develop the training and support needed for the teachers during her time here.

I spent the morning meeting with our 300+ local Zambian staff who oversee the daily operations here at the Village. This includes our construction, security, financial, electrical, welding, carpentry, plumbing, and many other teams that keep the Village running each day.

In the evening, we spent time back at the children’s homes, playing games and distributing some of the donations we brought for the children.

Our schedule for this week will remain mostly consistent with Monday. Next week, we will begin two weeks of workshops, leadership planning, and training with the local team here.

A big praise and testimony of God’s provision: the Mbanga family has been able to clear and process their vehicle for import so that their family can use it for the mission here in Zambia . The vehicle should arrive later this week.

In the meantime, before their vehicle arrives, a neighboring mission organization, Project Samuel, has generously loaned us a mission vehicle so that we can move around the Village and carry out our activities while we wait.

The Association of Resort and Leisure Ministers invites you to the 2026 conference where we will discover through fun and engaging experiences a balanced and Biblical view of work, play, and rest. Check out the Conference Invitation. 

International Missions Team—Pray for a new ministry team designed to plan, implement, and support our churches International Missions efforts. Nathan Hyde will be heading up this team and they will be looking for others interested in being a part of our desire to reach the uttermost parts of the earth, as commanded by our Savior Jesus. This team will help us find places that need our people and resources to reach the lost for Christ. You will hear more about this as they make recommendations to our church about places and ministries we can go to and share Jesus.

While rescue is necessary, prevention is better. To this end, workshops are held by Lupins in communities with great need. While the workshops have multiple focuses, the purpose is to glorify God and end child sexual abuse and trafficking. This year, these workshops will be held in 3 communities. Read Full Article
