Small Groups: Spring 2021

To grow in Christlikeness through knowledge of the Word and its application to our lives, yielding a personal spiritual transformation.

The best way to grow in God's Word and to connect and be a part of the church is to join a small group. At HTC we offer small groups for everyone from age 18 to 100+! For the younger kiddos, please check out HTC Kids & Gforce and for Middle School and High School check out H2O.

EVERYONE is WELCOME to join a small group. In fact, we encourage you to join a group. There is no pressure, just pure love. Maybe you've never opened a Bible or maybe you have the books of the Bible memorized - EVERYONE is WELCOME! This isn't about what you know, it's about growing in your relationship with the Lord. The best time to start is TODAY! You don't have to clean up, you don't have to prepare, just come as you are. If you have any questions please contact the HTC office at 302-732-3303 or email HTC at office@hightidechurch.org

Think of life this way. Your car's review mirror is a fraction of the size of the windshield, and there's a reason for that. Safe drivers glance in the mirror but focus on the road ahead. But how would you like to be the kind of drive preoccupied with the mirror? Too many travel through life that way. Too often that leaves them stalled by the slide of the road. Grab a bucket and a rag. Wash the windshield, buckle your seat belt, and shift the car into drive. That was the apostle Paul's attitude when he declared, "I focus on the is one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us." [Phil. 3:13-14] Have you ever needed a jump start? This study will help us all, no matter our level of understanding, keep moving forward to meet God wherever He goes.

The Book of Jonah is  more than a fish story. It's a revelation of our God extending His Sovereign love and mercy to both believers and unbelievers alike. This is exactly the lesson Jonah needed to learn and maybe we do too. It's about God revealing Himself to a group of pagan sailors, to a cruel  wicked enemy of Israel, and to the grumpy selfish prophet. But tis book is not so much about a wayward prophet from Israel as it is about us! Join us as we journey together until we come to understand that for each of us, "I am Jonah."

Everything has a starting point. Sometimes we forget that faith has a starting point as well. For some of us, our faith journey began in childhood through a parent, teacher or pastor. Or maybe you had no faith at all. But what if you could find a new starting point for faith? Whether you're curious about God, new to faith, coming back to church, or new to High Tide Church, it's a place where your opinions and beliefs are valued, and no question is off limits. You will be part of a conversational small group environment where you can explore faith and experience community. Come as you are and build relationships with others as you discover your starting point.

During these eight sessions, you will:

  • Reflect on central questions of faith and life
  • Explore and share what you're learning with other people in a conversational environment
